A Way Out is an upcoming adventure game developed by Hazelight and published by Electronic Arts. This is the second video game directed by Josef Fares to the brothers: a story about two sons. Announced on E3 2017, the game will only be playable online at local level or between two players without a single player mode. The game is currently scheduled for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows launch in early 2018.

Gameplay:

A Way Out is an arcade adventure game from the perspective of a third person. It was designed specifically for multiplayer, multiplayer, split screen sharing, which means that it must be played with another player via local or online games. In the game players control Leo and Vincent, two sentenced prisoners who have to break out of prison and keep up with the authorities. Because the story of both heroes is said at the same time, their progress can not be synchronized, which can cause one player to control their character while another is watching the script. Players must work together to achieve progress, and each situation may differ in different ways, with both characters taking on different roles. For example, during a prison escape scene a player must distract the guard while another player must find a tool to help them escape. These roles are not fixed, so Leo and Vincent can turn their roles into another spectacle. Players can interact with many characters that can not be played and there are dialogue options available to players.
